The fine art of scatology

In 1978 I lived in Kemmerer, WY. I was working for the Kemmerer Coal Company, but became good friends with a lot of the kids who were working for the BLM (Bureau of Land Management)

One of the folks was a wildlife biologist, specializing in mammals. (Patti Mollica). Mammals, other than the big grazing ones, are hard to find in the High Plains. So they mainly used their scat to identify them.

One weekend all the BLMers were away on vacation (They all lived together in government supplied housing). Patti had a dog, and I volunteered to take care of her.

When I got to their place on Saturday afternoon, it seems as if the dog had eaten all of Patti's scat collection.

And vomited it back out again.

The joys of science.
