Listening to your radio interview… I think it is wild how similar our backgrounds are.
When I was an environmental project manager & field technician I worked on 100’s of drilling & geological operations where we looked for hazardous water, ground & water contamination utilizing very similar technology as you do in drilling exploration.
I also worked on the Milwaukee deep tunnel & in MMSD projects spending days monitoring tunnels and sewers (not really a mine though).
I manned various drilling rigs, seismograph, & NRC “free radical” devices over the years in the field.
I use to say to people as a scientist…. Hey! I am a certified nuclear technician just like Homer Simpson.
It sounds like you have had a lot fun experiencing life while doing a little work!
