Christmas Decorations

I just got back from Oslo yesterday. It was very snowy there, and I also finished with my annual reading of A Christmas Carol. So it just made sense to start decorations.

That, and the fact that our friends Rick and Toni sent us some gifts:

and said that we should post some photos of our decorated house. So I figured we had better do so.

Here is the house before decorations. That is the living room above.

That is the staircase above. Stop me if I am going too fast.

That is the window seat in the sun room. Also called the carriage room, as it used to be a carriage room.

Another view of the carriage room

That is 17 yards (!) of garland on the front porch.

We put up a wreath on the front door, with more to come:

The garland, almost in place

Doreen, putting ribbons on the wreath. Note the illuminated garland.

There is Doreen, working in the living room.

The garland is up on the staircase.

That is not completely done. One of our strings of lights developed a flaw. We found the flaw when Doreen touched the bad light and it shocked her. I fixed it.

Lights in the carriage room.

Doreen placing the Frank Lloyd Wright (from Falling Water) star on top of the tree.

Merry Christmas to all!
